Expert Verdict
ILIFE is one of the most accessible robot vacuum brands on the market, offering basic cleaning automation at prices that rarely exceed a few hundred dollars. The A-series and V-series are aimed at first-time buyers, students, renters, and owners of small apartments who want to reduce manual sweeping without investing in premium navigation or self-emptying docks. The value proposition is simple: low cost, acceptable performance, and minimal complexity.
Most ILIFE models use infrared or gyroscopic navigation rather than LiDAR or cameras. This means cleaning paths are more random than premium competitors, and the robots may take longer to cover a room. However, for small spaces this is less of a problem, and the long battery life means the robot can keep cleaning until most of the floor has been touched. Suction is sufficient for dust, crumbs, and light pet hair on hard floors and low-pile carpet.
Controls are refreshingly simple. Many models ship with a remote control that includes scheduling buttons, and the onboard interface is limited to a few LEDs and physical buttons. The dustbin and filter are easy to remove and rinse. On the downside, advanced features such as room mapping, no-go zones, and voice assistant integration are largely absent. If your expectations are aligned with a basic, affordable sweeper, ILIFE delivers reasonable results for very little money.
